Monofilament yarn, as evident by its name, consists of a single solid filament. The diameter range of monofilament yarns is 100–2000 μm which is widely used as fishing line, dental floss, in sports racquets, and bristles of tooth brushes or softer sewing thread applications. M.G. Polyblends is one of the leading yarn colour masterbatch manufacturers who has range of such masterbatches.

Multifilament yarns are produced in 3 types: partially oriented yarns (POY), fully oriented yarns (FOY) / fully drawn yarns (FDY) and bulked continuous yarns (BCF). High tenacity FOY are used for technical textile and standard FOY is used for traditional apparel applications. BCF yarns are mainly used in carpets backing applications.

Staple fibre in produced by two stage discontinuous process of high-speed spinning and then drawing, crimping, cutting etc. A Homo PP (MFI between 12-25) is used to produce staple fibres use to make air and water filters and other industrial fabric.

Continuous PP yarns or staple fibre can be spun into a multi-directional web known as spun bond non-woven (Polypropylene Non-woven Colour masterbatch). This fabric has superior properties can is used as surgical gowns, geotextiles, shopping bags etc. Usually a Homo PP- Polypropylene Non-woven Colour masterbatch (MFI between 20 to 35) is used to produce PP non-woven fabric. We have range of polypropylene spunbond Colour masterbatch for domestic and international market.

Our masterbatches are widely used on BCF, CF and POY processes and applications include carpets, home furnishings, upholstery, hosiery wear, PP strapping, Non-woven and spun bond fabrics. They are most suitable for staple fibres having requirement of 230-240 °C heat stability and for BCF and upholstery materials where temperature reach about 285 °C.
